Balji is a woven traditional bag, using fibres from the Kakan (black palm), and sheaths of river grass. We finish it with yibuy (lawyer cane). For us, the Balji is a versatile vessel used in many ways. Carrying babies, collecting mayi (food), and leeching toxins from nuts in running water.
